Spent the day cleaning out Grandpas old barn. We found a cache of old tools, planes, drill bits, files, saws, hammers etc. etc etc. Lots of great old tools ranging in age from twenty years old to a hundred or more. They all have a rusty patina (and in some cases a thick coating of rust) from being stored in wood boxes in a barn with no heat. They are also quite dirty. Any thoughts on cleaning these pieces to prepare them for sale or personal use? Thanks Gary K. |
