No, there's very little side load if used properly . . . & Sear's sold it
for use on their own saws.

Yep, that's what I used also, but maybe I let it get a little too hot 'cause
it was hard to scrape off.
I use adhesive-backed discs on the 6 inch aluminum disk built on my belt
sander . . .they stick very "permanently" also .  .  . I'm likely building
too much heat there too.
