1953 Master Parts Catalog, Group 0.308 1947-53 all engines, use O ring type.
Note says also used on 1941-47 models with 2 groove valve stems.
Moving over to group0.296, valves, Inlet, we find 1941-49 all and 50-53 all
w/216 use 2 groove valves only. sounds like the factory retrofitted O ring
seals.
