Hello all,

The front lever-acting shocks on my 1961 Morris Van are suffering
from the same basic problem most others are--namely leakage of oil so
fillups are needed very often to keep them working at all. My question is
whether to purchase rebuilt lever types orto convert to tubular shocks.
There are several kits around to make this conversion, apparently. I am
not a purist so converting doesn't bother me from an aesthetic point of
view.

Price is always a consideration to me although I believe in
spending for something if I am convinced it is the "right" thing. So let
me please hear from all who want to comment about what is your preference
and why. If you have preferences as to supplier, that would be welcome
also. Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
David Kernberger

P.S. NAPA shock No. 94038 works just fine on Van & pickup rearends and is
not very expensive. It is just a basic gas shock-nothing fancy.
