Bill,

I used to prefer 185/70X13. 175/75X13 would work as would the similar sized
165X13. I ran 185/80X13 Pirellis(replacement size for an early 1960s
Mercedes sedan) and they worked just fine but looked a bit oversize on the
front, though perfect on the back. I personally like the California hot rod
"big 'n little" look and would run 165X13s on the front and give the car a
"rake." I did the same thing with 15" wheels on my PT Cruiser. Imagine, 15"
wheels are now considered small!! (pic attatched)

Bruce Wyman used to bore the center holes to 2 3/4" using a cylinder boring
bar but call a machine shop - I once tried to file them out - that would
take forever!!!
