The calipers cannot cause pressure in the system. Only the failure of the
master cylinder piston to return fully will cause that problem. Caliper
pistons can surety stick, but very rarely would they both do it at the same
time, and opening a bleeder would not help in that situation. Be sure that
your pedal returns completely and that there is very little free travel in it
when it has returned. If you look into the reservoir while someone pumps the
brakes a few times and then gets off of them you should see a spurt of fluid
rise in the can. This tells you that the piston has returned and the
compensation port is open.
