<<Hi there,
I took the Morgan out for a short test drive today, I got the speed up a
little past 60mph and the front end started to do a dance! This was no minor
shake, it felt like a wheel was about to fall off! Is this the "Morgan
Shake?"
I feel about a quarter inch of play when I grab the tops of the front wheels
and pull back and forth. Are My Kingpins Shot?>>

If the tops of the front wheels have 1/4" play doesn't it mean the front
suspension bushings which slide up and down on the king pins are worn? when
replacing the bushings, which have to be machined to fit, it is best to
replace the king pins as well. This is a standard Morgan service job, but I
think it needs a Morgan specialist with a hydraulic press and machining
facilities. Dave Collins, San Diego
