Chuck:

Thanks in advance for the pipe. Time has not been lost I have been busy
(when in town) changing out rusted screws for new chrome where visible and
stainless elsewhere. The little red car continues to run well.

I have noticed a noise while turning. Maybe someone can give me an idea
what it is. When I make a hard left turn I her a shoop- shoop-shoop sound
from the transmission tunnel between the seats. I am kind of sensitive
about the transmission and drive shaft since the spring. Is it possible
that the drive shaft is rubbing the inside of the tunnel on hard turns and
is this normal (for a Morgan that is)?

I am glad to hear Matilda's starter problem is cured. It sounds like you
are gearing up for a big project.

The July trip sounds like a great idea. I do have a couple of constraints.
The first being a conference I am speaking at on the 10-16 of June and the
second also a conference I am a speaker at during the 15-20 of July. Denise
and I had talked about going to the Morgan meet in northern Virginia which
is between those dates. What about a pilgrimage of the faithful from the
Republic of Texas to the Old Dominion?

In the what's in a name department, I don't know, I tend to be more of the
conservative type sticking with the Presbyterian and Baptist crowd. I don't
think I want to get too esoteric or new age. I was thinking of something
old, maybe even southern. If I didn't give a _ _ _ _, I might go with
Scarlet. Which is very much in character for our car.

My theology is probably why I drive a 4/4. I just don't get into this new
age stuff. I mean at the time I bought my 4/4, if I could have found a
barrel back or F trike I would be driving that. These new cars though, you
know the +4, +4+, or the +8 . . . If you will settle for just any Morgan
and can live a life of compromise, I suppose they are OK. After all it does
have the badge on the bonnet. As for me and my house we have a right hand
steer 4/4 with a push-pull shifter.
