Scott, Sad to hear about your disaster. I've had a few problems with my rebuild (about 1000mi) but no knocking (knock on wood! pardon the pun). I've taken my B on a 60mi highway trip since the rebuild. Like yours, 55-60lbs pressure all the way. Mine is a 76 w/OD so it revs around 3000rpm on the highway. It shakes a little bit in the front end so I doubt that is your problem. My car has about 500 highway miles on the rebuilt engine, BTW. Thank God for warranties. Tyson |
