Thanks for the suggestions - the DPO had already taken all the
anti-pollution stuff off.  All except the line going from the "oil
separator" (on the timing cover) to the carbs.  I took it off the carb
union and sucked  on it.  Got a nice lungful of old engine oil fumes.  Th=

I blew down it.  The Saran Wrap I put over the oil filler hole expanded a=
s
expected.
I'll let you know what happens next.
