Aron et al, I may be from Mars, but I think the little screws serve an additional purpose. I think that they serve to maintain tension on the end of the axle when the tire lug nuts are off; flat fixing, etc. Why? Because there is only 1 offset screw maintaining the tension on the axle seal inside the drum. I replaced my 3 missing screws with allen screws and Loctited them. My 0.02, -Vince (Veteran of 2 domestic branches of the Military and 1 foreign). |
