Paul, Armorall is a fair method but your application proceeder is
different from the detail shop I deal with. They spray it on as you do,
but then they allow it to fully dry over night. It then becomes a hard
glossy finish and requires no buffing and it does not rub off on cloths
when allowed to fully dry.

I used the  "paint-um method" the same color as the car using flexible
primer and a flex agent added to the color paint. You also should use a
filler material between the rubber and the metal on the top of the front
and rear bumpers to prevent spider webbing in the area.
