Keith-

I sent my tach to Nossingers to be converted several years ago. Worked
for 2 days, then stopped reading above 2500 rpms. When I returned it, I
told them I was running a MSD 6A ignition, they said it would not make
any differance. The repaired tach lasted 1 hour. Sent it back again,
told them to start paying postage & labor. Got a new tach 1 week later,
it has worked for 12 years. They gave up on the 4cyl core, used a 12 cyl
Jag unit & swapped faces. As I understand it, all that is involved is
swapping a resistor for a different value to re-calibrate, just don't
know the value.

Glenn Towry will convert one for you, less than $100.00 I think. You
might try Mo Ma, who has a fine reputation for guage repair.

My solution for my GT was to buy a VDO tach from Summit. It is a 4"
case, black face. 0/8000 rpm, pn VDO-333901, $42.95. I just took it
apart & put it in my case. Not original, but a good looking unit,
switchable 4,6,or 8cyl, & handles MSD, Crane, Jacobs, etc with no
problems. Also available 0/11000.

No interest in Summit, VDO, Glenn, so on, so on.

Jim
