A friend of mine has an Elva Courier Mk. I race car that he blew up the
engine in this past weekend at Sebring. He was running a 1622 MGA
engine, but that is the incorrect engine for his car. A 1500 is
correct. I have a spare 1500 engine that he can use, but he needs a new
billet crank, at least one Carillo rod and wonders if his head will work
on my 1500 block.
Does anyone have sources for those items and can answer the head
question or know of any other issues in using what's left of his 1622 in
a 1500?
I know the transmission is different, but is that only at the rear?
