Hi Douglas,
Please, please, please don't use undercoating. It's hides problems,
is a right b$%^#h to remove and a generation or two from now the next
owner will be cursing your memory.
Use paint. Like the people on the list have said nobody crawls
underneath a car to ensure originalilty so consider it to be not
unlike beneath the waterline of a ship and pick something that
inhibits rust.
Black is good. Per Clausanger, (sp?) the underside of the wing should
be the same colour as the top.
