Let's not forget where these cars come from fellow Listers.  I just
looked up the average temperature in London, England:
JAN.    45 
FEB.    45 
MARCH   51 
APRIL   55 
MAY     62 
JUNE    68 
JULY    72 
AUG.    72 
SEPT.   66 
OCT.    58 
NOV.    51 
DEC.    47  
With average temperatures like that I doubt seriously that they had to
deal with a whole lot of vapor lock problems over there so they didn't
make engine cooling a priority.  I feel it's more ambient temperature
related than it is "reformulated" fuel related.
