On second thought, there are a few differences, I believe, that would help
clear up my confusion.

As can be seen on my previous photo, there is clearly a difference between
what I have labeled as TA and TC. Not only is the hold-down bolt tab
different due to the different engine castings, but the micro-adjuster is
placed differently due to the fact that the rotation of the distributor is
different owing to the opposite placement of the distributor relative to the
engine.

Now I know the TC has the distributor on the near (left) side of the engine
and the J, P, and others have it on the off (right) side. So either the
clamp marked PA/PB is right for the J2 and PA and the TA marked clamp is
right for the PB.

But what is the placement of the other cars mentioned: N and TC?

If the TA has the distributor on the right side, then the TC clamp pictured
couldn't be exactly right for the TA. Or does the drive gear ride on the
lower side of the crank gear?

Aaarrrggghhh!

Help!

Hi Lew,

I am in the office now so not sure, but TC's one is same as my TA's. So
the one on the left top should be for P or N or ???
