Dear Listers,

I recall seeing a drawing for a mandrel to align the drive hole in the head
with the front bearing housing not so long ago but have been unable to locate
it. As we are about to rebuild my P type motor I would be most grateful for
measurements or a drawing if anyone can provide them.

Thanks for the information about the rocker cover on e bay. It's now heading
south to replace one in which two lots of TIG experts have been unable to weld
up additional holes made by a previous owner due to the high magnesium
content. This puzzles me rather as the same individual seems to have managed
to weld alloy blocks to the inside of the cover to buttress the additional
holes he drilled. I was going to (and may still) try an Australian aluminium
repair rod known as Ultra Bond which can apparently be used on magnesium
alloys. I would be interested to hear of others experience welding this
stuff.
