My 1931 "D" Type engine, chassis # 0252, is apart for rings and bearings.
The con rods vary in total
weight from 448 grams to 432 grams . 4 ring standard pistons vary from 182
grams
to 184.8 grams. For a touring engine, does it pay to balance these parts, and
if so,
how close should they be?

I live in the New Mexico desert and need to install an electric water pump.
In the June, 2003 issue
of "Safety Fast", and electric booster pump was discussed. Does anyone know
where I can get one?
The e-mail address in the article did not respond to my inquiry. Any help
will be greatly appreciated.
