Today, Japanese Government (Ministry of Environment) announced
that a new law will be established shortly to change current
pump petrol to new one which alcohol is mixed.
Some kind of alcohol made from sugar cane or such material will
be mixed into the gasoline around 10%, in order to exhaust less
CO2 and to match more strict emission regulation.
The Giovernment claims alchohol mixed petrol will be slightly
high-octane, however less explosion power will be produced, and
besides some kind of catalyser will be required. We are bit
nervous about such new thing for our vintage MGs! Does someone
know about those stuff?
