Friends,

I have questions about vertical drive bearing. There seems to
be three kinds of bearing available :
1) 'Mc Gill' type modern bearing with inner sleeve
2) Hyatt Roller bearing with outer hyatt sleeve as original
3) Hyatt outer Sleeve with bronze inner bush

Question 1 : 'Trrington' type bearing is mentioned in Barry
Walker and Mike Dawley's catalogue, is it same as McGill
bearing?

Question 2 : Which type is most recommended? I myself think
McGill is most preferable, while G.Howell (auther of J2
restoration manual) says above 3) is the best.

Can someone help me?

Cheers,
Hiro
