I have found in a box of spares a rear camshaft pedestal made of light alloy.
The cap is steel, but the base is alloy. Can anyone tell me if this is an
MG item? I would have thought that the weight saving was not worth the
bother?
I also have an almost complete set of alloy rods - same design as M Type
steel rods. Would these have been fitted as original equipment to an engine
(if so, what car?). If not, were they aftermarket parts?
