The world finals were super as everyone who has read the inputs by those
that were there. As Chief timer sitting in the best seat in the house you
all made me proud to see the class act you all put on. I have seen many
passes down the long black line over the years. This meet was something
special as for the first time in years we were able to run two ways for
records. The pits were across from the three mile and to see Vesco, White,
True and others come back from the north almost put tears in my eyes.

We have waited a long time for this. True it takes a little longer but it's
worth every minute. Both BNI & FIA records were run both directions. On
Vescos return run he cut down a left rear tire going into the last (his only
mile) for FIA but being the expert driver he is he stopped it with no
problem.

Having the honor of timing the worlds fastest wheel driven vehicle is
something I will never forget. My staff in the timing stand could be heard
in Las Vegas. Talk about jazzed, wow.

Sam Wheeler made a 301 mile per hour pass on/in his streamliner motorcycle
only to lose the engine. Talk about a beautiful run, again wow.

Little Joe Amo with a 225 pass even had brother Jon almost speechless, but
walking tall. Jon is still waiting for his ride on it. This could go on
forever but each one that writes in will be good reading.

The staff at SCTA / BNI did a great job with all of the volunteers that
helped set up / tear down this short but rewarding event. Chris and Ed
Shearer as always such a great help to the association and the racers by
always being there.

Thanks to all for the show and your hard fought for records, it was awesome
and will be talked about for a long time.

Just a reminder, just because the salt was dry, you still need to clean
everything and put a preservative on all moving parts, just ask Grib, it
don't take long for the Wendover Locktite to start working.

Glen (still on a high)
