No.  The Ford is the biggest V-8 they offered in a gas engine that year
(93?) .  He found that driving to Southern California on I-15 at 65 mph gave
him about 5 mpg better gas mileage than driving at the posted 75.  He
cruised in the outside lane and just enjoyed the drive.  The new truck gets
better mileage at 75 and has noticeably more torque.
