Interesting thing happened on the Bottom end of our Old D motor... it's
a Stock Block and Steel Crank... but it had aluminum Rods... and we didn't
have a Quality History on the Rods... so we decided to replace them...

I had Major concerns about the Steel Rods weighing a Bunch more then the
Aluminum... well.... Total Difference in weight.... how bout 9 grams....
So.. on the end of the day... my worry and concerns about adding a Bunch of
weight to the bottom end were all in Vain....

We also Studded the Bottom and and rebored the mains... Zero decked the
Block and replaced all the Valves... as they had all taken a Hit Last Year..
added a Windage Tray to the Block.... and installed one of John Beckett's
Melling Oil pumps with the Bolt on Pick up... neat deal really...

Keith ( Why yes it's just a small block but I thought you might be
interested in what it took to rebuild...)
