Phil, One thing I have done for years is make sure the trailer has the
right amount of tongue weight. I put a jack stand on top of a bath room
scale at hitch height. Set the tongue on it and roll the car forward
till you get about #125 on the tongue. Then use a chain that only lets
the car go forward to that point every time. Works for me.
