Tim,

The ECTA uses the same rulebook as the SCTA. Front wheel drive (FWD) is
allowed in any class. 4WD is allowed only in the Special Construction
Catagory and Production Catagory. In production classes the vehicle must be
originally equiped with 4WD either 'full time' or lockable. If 'full time'
the vehicle must run 4WD, if the the vehicle can be locked into 4WD from 2WD
it is the entrant's option on the number of drive wheels to use. If a
vehicle is converted from FWD or 4WD to rear wheel drive only(i.e. 9" Ford,
quickchange, etc.) it can no longer compete in the production classes.
