I have restored a BN1. The Four offers unique challenges compared with the =
Six, with a much longer stroke and but three main bearings. I would suggest=
 anyone count on a new steel crank, adding a harmonic balancer and lighter =
flywheel to lessen torsional stress on the crank, and an alloy head as most=
 originals are trash by now. Cost: an easy $20k with labor. Scary? Yes. But=
 that=E2=80=99s how to do if of you want an engine you can rely on and driv=
e as it was=C2=A0meant to be driven. The later Six really was an improvemen=
t overall and are known to be bulletproof for a reason. My two cents =E2=80=
=A6
