You can get that size wheel and tyre in the trunk. I have 72 spoke 5?'? 185 x
15 Pirellis on my car and as a spare in the trunk.
You need to move the locating block on the rear bulkhead up by about an inch by
making a simple bracket to lift the height of
the block slightly higher. Only a concours expert will know you have lifted it

I will be replacing the original painted 48 spoke wire wheel and 15 year old
165/15. I'd like to get a larger wheel/tire combo as a spare. I have 72 spoke
wheels on 185 Vredresteins that do not fit in the trunk What is the largest
tire/wheel combo that will fit in the trunk (boot).
