| Dick, I have also noticed and been frustrated by the inconsistency in
nomenclature. I found the SU carb adjusting procedures especially fiendish,
since they use three or four different names for all of the adjustment points.
Once I figured it out, I just wrote my own procedures. I typically make my
own "improvements" to the manual procedures, add sketches and photographs,
etc., as I find them necessary.
Happy Healeying!

re-assembly!
  Alan,
Sorry I cannot answer your question, but it did prompt one of my own:
Speaking of the AH shop manual(s) , how many of you have been confused,
over
the years, by the fact that, not infrequently, a part mentioned in the text
has a different name in the blow-up drawing?
I'm NOT speaking of the usual British/American bonnet/hood and boot/trunk
business here, just plain old-fashioned carelessness!
