No one has mentioned the other Quaiffe diff, which is a plate type diff, a=
ka Tran-x, which Quaiffe bought.=C2=A0 I have had a Tran-x in my car for ye=
ars.=C2=A0 Had Detroit lockers prior to that, but after breaking a few of t=
hem I went with the Tran-x.=C2=A0 I chose the Tran-x over a Quaiffe to avoi=
d the issue with loss of traction from lifting the inside rear wheel.=C2=A0=
Quaiffe needs both rear wheels to have traction.=C2=A0 My Miata uses a Tor=
sen, which is similar to the Quaiffe and it works great, but the Miata is a=
n independent rear suspension, un-like the TR3's solid rear axle.=C2=A0
The Tran-x is also easier to drive in the rain than the Detroit locker.=C2=
=A0 The DL would sometimes lock unexpectedly in a corner in the rain, sendi=
ng the back end around.=C2=A0 Torsen is also great in the rain.=C2=A0 JoeB

Does anyone have experience with a Gripper diff - or a Quaiffe? =C2=A0I cu=
rrently run a welded diff in the GT6 and am contemplating whether any advan=
tage could be gained by making a swap. =C2=A0Certainly curious as to what t=
he super fast GT6s at the Kastner Cup were running.
