Many years ago, late 80's, I started chatting to an old woman during an
autocross event. She had come across the parking lot with her walker to
watch the show. When she commented how much she missed driving and fast cars
I
offered to take her for a ride in the GT6 during the afternoon fun-runs if
she came back.
Would you believe she not only came back but strapped in and grinned the
entire run without a peep. I was really impressed with her when it was
over. Hope I'm still that game when I'm her age.

That used to be SAP ( Standard Autocross Procedure ) for me. On really
good runs I would just fail to breathe. It tended to surprise people who
didn't know my habit, as I'd get out of the car gasping and wheezing.

PS: Dave, if IVR was still in existence and running at Wendover,
you probably could have convinced me to let you take her out on
the "track" without a helmet.
