RE: Could be TR-8 Powered Chainsaw

BMC or BL bought the rights from Buick (and tooling... etc) in the 60s and
used them in the MGB in the early 70s (72/73ish)....  then dropped the
engine into the TR7. 

Since then it's appeared in most of the English cars, from Morgan to Lotus
to Land Rover.
