I used my OD only on race starts to match the revs to the pace and for
the temporary upshift from third. I never had a problem with the OD
(changed my GL4 oil after every weekend to be safe) and I didn't see lap
time improvement. It did help with position on the track versus the guy
next to me and sometimes allowed for a fantastic start.
