It would be phenomenally hard to get CART or IRL to succeed--they have comprehensively shot themselves and each other in the foot and head. Beyond that, NASCAR has real wizards running the show, and the racing is down-market--they bump each other and do all the stuff you need to do to appeal to middle 'murrica. There aren't that many real motorheads to begin with and IRL/Cart racing is almost as boring as Formula 1 (without the benefit of cool hardware). They've already thrown away their audience. |
