Having broken a left rear stub axle on my TR6 in a VSCDA race six weeks ago,
I have an interest in the outcome of this discussion.
Since my own three-wheel pirouette, I've talked to about everyone I know
with an opinion as to causes and cures of TR6 axle failure, but the only
thing that's become clear is that opinions differ.
I'm about to install a modified setup using Corvair parts - any thoughts and
comments would be especially welcome.

upgrades to IRS cars to avoid problems (eg. Corvair spindle) for someone,

I read somewhere Group 44 did that [Corvair rear spindle ]for a racing
mod... I think they also uses half shafts from a Mercedes 190 for the inners
as well...Bill Warner, Am I right or was I dreaming? (think the article was
in British Car back when you had the car at Mid-O the first time)... For you
Vitess and GT6 types I think the Corvair hubs were used in that application
as well... You may want to check on that though...
