uncomfortable with it, how about CARTEL or GROUP.
I even said (albeit facetiously) that if we wanted to mimic Burt's verbose
style of prose, we could feature the FOT LOGO, and then below have the text:

In order to prove that THE GLORY STILL EXISTS,
FRIENDS of TRIUMPH is a loosely knit, Internet based,
CARTEL of TRIUMPH Aficionados, dominated by backyard
racer types, who out of practical necessity have banded
together in order to deal with mutual shortcomings, both
actual and perceived.

An aside to Joe Alexander. As good a DEMOCRACY looks on paper, it is often
cumbersome, and anti-productive. You can't beat a GOOD, HONEST DICTATOR, and
