Hi all,

Ted contacted me a couple weeks ago and indicated he was working on a
related project. He politley asked that I "drag my feet" a bit while he
gets his ends of things together. And with the season drawing to a close
for most of us, I concurred. We have had several talks subsequently and I
think, personally, I would prefer his product.

This does not mean anyone will be left out in the cold. I have 8 of us on
my committed list and if you still desire the original style axle, Ted has
agreed to include them along with the splined axle order. There is a bug.
If only one or two of us wants the original style, Sway-A-way may have to
charge more for the set-up/programming on a per piece level.

I guess it's time for a hand count.

The following are on my current list:

Buyers 9-11-97

Mike Jackson 2 tr3
John Lye 2 tr4
Jack Drews tr4
Chip Bond 2 tr4
Allan Pinel 2 tr4
J. Harkness 2 tr3
Bill Babcock 2 tr?
J. Snook 2 tr3

This list totals 16 pieces. Sway away wanted 10-12 pieces. I think I'm
defecting. I believe John Lye and Bill Babcock have also.

Regards
Chip

FOT,

There seems to be two axle projects going on. Perhaps there needs to be
a 'project coordinator' to evaluate the alternatives...both quantitative
& qualitative. (This assumes the 'full floating axle", a third
alternative, has been set aside.

* The Bond Proposal-Replication axle with new material
specifications and heat treat.
* The Schumacher Proposal-Splined axle with mating hub.

Both sound quite good.

Excuse me for jumping in since I am not presently a player, but this
looks like an opportunity to follow through on a product that is
potentially safety related.

Any ideas?

Regards,

FOT Joe
