Hello to all Friends of Triumph....
Billet Cranks-One FOTer makes an appeal for those interested in doing a
quantity purchase of billet cranks. I havnt seen any responses to the
affirmative. HP, what is the status of the SCCA ruling?
No guarantees, but we are trying to improve on the $1350 Moldex price. Worth
a try.
Close Ratio Gear Sets-There is some movement on this project and is begining
to look feasible. Expect to hear more in a couple weeks. At least a status
report.
Billet Hubs-JS reports that his first production run of rear billet hubs is
all sold out and he is going to initiate another production run. Jeff, can
you bring a sample to the VSCDA annual dinner so we can see one?
Trip Report-Jeff said he would provide a trip report on his trip to see the
Grand Wazoo race at Moroso on the 38th of December, but is wife made him cut
a tree down instead.
Cabin Fever Video Nite II-Hosted by Jack & Francis Drews and was a success. A
whole evening of vintage footage from the past & present was sent out to (4)
TV sets through the house, including the garage. This is where North
America's most beautiful TR4 vintage racer resides (not jack, the car)
Honored guest was Jim Hill from Madison, Wisconsin. Jim is developing a TR6
to race in Vintage...but has history of racing Riverside in the early years.
He raced both an Austin Healey & a TR4.
Newest FOT Member-Bob Kramer from Texas who is racing a TR3 in Vintage. Bob
if you get this message, please respond. You may not be loaded in yet.
Need Information!!!! HP or Nick of Norcal...I understand you have a procedure
for lapping in the rear hubs. When we get the hubs from Jeff, this would be a
nice piece of information for him to include in his hub package.
CAK, is Bob Kamholtz on the "Monster List"? This Bob Kamholtz of Genoa,
Wisconsin dba Thunderbolt Enterprises. His phone number is 414.279.3307 He
has a wonderful selection of used parts and is a great guy to do business
with. He plans to wind out of the business in about three years so use him
while you can. (He has a truly awful TR3 (v-6 powered) that he races)
FYII'll be out of the country for the better part of week and will not be
responding to e-mail for awhile starting Monday.
Later
Joe Alexander
