I'm a n00b at this, but let me offer some random thoughts that those who
-DO- know can confirm or correct. <g>

I am guessing that the electric fuel pump is wired that way to be downstream
of the ignition switch so that the electric fuel pump starts pumping when
you turn the ignition key. Also, if the purpose of the ballast resistor is
to drop down the voltage to 6 volts for the ignition system (which isn't
needed w/ Boone's EI distributor, right?), it also seems pertinent to know
which side of the resistor the fuel pump and the mystery accessory are
connected to as they may also require 6 volts.

Greetings Everyone

After installing my EI Dizy, I found two additional wires connected to my
ballast resistor. One wire goes to a retrofitted electric fuel pump at the
tank, the other goes somewhere, perhaps the radio. Gary Boone suggests that
I should not use the ballast resistor to supply the fuel pump, so I am
seeking advice on where to wire it to. I am apprehensive about this because
every wire I touch crumbles in my hand, and the fear of having electrical
problems has put me on edge. Any suggestions?
