Original headrest attaching screws for 68-70 cars have 1/4-28 NF threads, a 
#3 Phillips recess in a head similar to a pan head and also have a conical
pointed tip for ease of assembly.

There is only one mounting position on the original setup.  Some people
drop them all the way down or you could add additional threaded holes.
