As an aside, the main reason I see tire manufacturer's recommending an
automatic throw away program is caused by "Yellow Page" lawyers...Tire
companies are good targets, juries never want to tell someone they were
actually responsible to maintain correct tire pressure, inspect their tires,
or exhibit common sense.

Just my opinion --  where I live in Arizona,  between the ultra-violet light ,
screaming heat with low humidity and a lot of 75MPH+ driving --- I either wear
them out or they start separating  tread by the time they are in the 80,000+
range (two to four years).
