It has been done. I finished my conversion about six or seven months ago.

While Van says there are others out there, I have not seen another running
turbo version yet. Michael Spreadbury has been quite successful with the N/A
swaps up in the bay area though. The car is an absolute blast to drive, but
for most people I would recommend the N/A version due to the extra costs of
the turbo. Things quickly get out of hand. I think the N/A swap could be
done for just over half of what I spent. If anyone out there is interested in
any kind of Datsun motor swap, please feel free to contact me. My friend and
I are offering motors swap kits for all the old Datsuns. Z car, 510,
Roadster, whatever. We have just gotten going with our RB series swaps for Z
cars, and I would be happy to duplicate my Roadster for someone.
