Well, I've checked my timing, (16 deg BTDC with recurved dist on a 70
1600) an inspection of plugs leads me to believe I'm not running rich, I
dropped in a 170 thermostat (couldn't find a 160) and still running
warm.. Seems to fluctuate between just past the little 'f' on the gauge
and more than halfway between the 'f' and the red area (not gotten there
yet, but was making me nervous on a long grade)

Other recent changes are:Radiator rodded out; switched from 7 to four
blade fan; new temp sending unit; Using Stan's water outlet kit. The
radiator came back with PLENTY of black paint on the heat exchanger part,
could that be it?

Helps when I run the heater, but Man, it's hot enough!
