Hi

The word is that the car is scrapped - there is a Datsun Roadster owner in 
Japan (a member of the Japanese SROC) who owns most of the parts of a UY 
engine that was installed in the car - maybe the original engine - looks very 
XKE/E-Type in construction. 12 spark plugs and twin distributors - very cool. 
Probably weighs more than a KA24DE though.

I think Les Cannaday was offered one of these UY engines a while back too. 

I can lay my hands on some great pics of the Fairlady S - had a streamlined 
underbody and loads of trick stuff - qualified 1st for the 1966 Jap GP, ran 
well until ignition problems put her out of the race, never to be seen again. 
Shame.
