I have seen a few messages going around about freeze plugs lately. I was wondering if anyone had tried the rubber plug type. It is a big rubber plug with a big washer on one side with a stud poking through. As you tighten a nut on the stud, it flares out the sides of the rubber plug to hold it in the hole. Seems to me that they would last a long time and there would be no material issues to worry about. |
