I agree with Tim. The VIN seems legit.
BTW: Did you know that "many" (but not all) spl310 ended with a letter!?!?
1963 SPL310 - Ended with the Letter B
1964 SPL310 - Ended with the Letter C
1965 SPL310 - Ended with the Letter D
