Hi Paul, Roadsters:

Not really - you pull a VERY small amount of power from the headlight
circuit to power the relay, but still run a new wire from the battery
for the lights.  My post was unclear, sorry:-)

Relay:
  A  B
  C  D

A=12v+ in to power relay, from fusebox
B=12v- in to power relay (ground)
C=12v+ in to power lights, direct from battery
D=12v- out to power lights

Is that better?  It pulls just enough power to energize the relay
through the stock wiring, the main juice runs through dedicated
wiring.
