Is anyone here aware of any S2 Seven, with its
original
skin still on, that was delivered assembled by Lotus
and fully painted?
I am curious as to the specific extent of the painting
of the body unit. Who painted those cars? Did Lotus
have their own paint facilities and staff at Cheshunt?
Anyone know the build process of the export cars? Were
GRP parts painted along with the CBU or was the body
painted to match the 'glas which was molded in color
and bolted on after the fact?
Anyone with connection to Robin Read - I would very
much appreciate the forwarding of this
question to him or someone of the same period who
might have knowledge of the detail specification of
fully assembled export Sevens. Mention to Robin that I
have one of the Sevens his 'old friend Sy Kaback'
imported in 1961.
