We are installing a Holley Pro-jection aftermarket unit on a MGB v-8. Easy
job, hood clearence is very tight, but it was with the carb.
Throttle body injection is not the best but....a zillion GM vehicles use
it. It makes a very drivable engine with a good torque band. Also very
reasonably priced, $500 new for the basic Holley system.
Have seen a Rover-Ford EFI hybrid. Used Rover dist. with Ford guts, Ford
throttle body on a very modified Rover plenum with a Ford ECU. Ran
OK.....alloy engines have knock sensor issues........
GM 5.0 TBI is a natural from a C-10, some dealers can burn the chip to cure
drivability issues. Making a hybrid Chev/Rover or /Buick distributor will
be the tough part.
